Dan Ackroyd responds to the National Enquirer story that claimed Bill Murray shredded the Ghostbusters 3 script upon receiving it:

seanreidy:

“Bill Murray is not capable of such behaviour. This is simply something that would not be in his nature. We have a deep, private personal relationship that transcends business.” Whether or not they make, or if Bill Murray is even in, a Ghostbusters 3, that was nice to read.

yeah, i refuse to believe Bill Murray would do that to something Dan Ackroyd has been working about a decade to get off the ground. All the hatred about Ghostbusters 3 is usually on Letterman, when Murray is one of the most consistent guests and usually in some kind of character the whole time. He just voiced the video game not long ago and did a spot on performance. I still believe in GB3. If Sony can put money into MIB3 (with MIB2 tanking beyond tanking), they would be completely insane to not get GB3 off the ground.
